Playing Catch Up...

Dungeness - am - grey, cloudy, drizzle - Well, its great to be back on the Marsh after a spell away - honest! Apart from the Pallid Harrier at Walland it doesnt sound as though I missed much over the past fortninght. However, spent the morning playing catch-up around the Peninsula.
At the boats the good old Glaucous Gull was still present alongside a Yellow-legged Gull, while offshore, 100 Brents passed west alongside a scattering of Gannets and auks. PB, CP and MH were also mooching around and updated me on the Snow Bunting situation. Eventually, I located a dozen flighty Snowflakes not far from the end of the concrete road. Plenty of Goldfinches over and at the Obs Redpolls continued to hit the mist nets in good numbers.
At ARC had no luck with the Long-tailed Duck, although it was still present according to SB.
The Roughie was also reported from the West Hythe/Nicholl`s Quarry area.
