Lade - 0700hrs - misty, low cloud, drizzle, w 3 - A grotty morning with few moths in the garden trap due to brisk overnight winds, but did include several Silver Ys, White Colon and a cracking Garden Tiger. All quiet over the pits apart from a mixed flock of several hundred Swifts and hirundines feeding over the willow swamp.
White Colon
Garden Tiger
ARC - Bright and sunny by late afternoon. From Screen hide a Greenshank and four LRPs were among the Lapwings; also Yellow Wagtails and Sand Martins through, plus Marsh Harrier and Green Woodpecker.
NB: Thanks to SC and DW for correctly identifying the White Colon above, after I`d mistaken it for an early Feathered Ranunculus.
