Yellow Wagtails

Dungeness - mild, dry, hazy sunshine ne 2, se 2 - 0630 - 0830hrs & 1415 - 1700hrs - Two cracks at seawatching from the hide today delivered 200 Bar-tailed Goldwits, 200 Common Scoters, 50 Gannets, hundreds of Commic and Sandwich Terns, three Little Terns, eight Arctic Skuas, four Little Gulls, two Fulmars, 10 Whimbrels, three Kittiwakes and three Shelducks; we missed three Poms by 10 minutes this afternoon.

                                Little Owl, Lydd camp

Scotney - En-route to the farm we called in at the camp where a Little Owl was in its usual position by the watch tower. At the farm all the usual suspects were logged including 20 Yellow Wagtails, 10 Tree Sparrows, three Corn Buntings, plus Skylark, Reed and Sedge Warblers, 10 Avocets, two Little Egrets, LRP and six Buzzards.

Lade Bay - Moving onto the bay for waders where from two viewpoints we noted: 100 Bar-tailed Godwits, 100 Curlews, three Grey Plovers, 10 Sanderlings, 20 Dunlins, four Turnstones, two Ringed Plovers, Redshank and 200 Oystercatchers, plus 10 Sandwich and two Common Terns.
