Moths

Lade - 0700hrs - warm, dry and sunny - Best catch of the year so far with 26 species in the garden trap last night including potential migrants such as Silver Y, L-album Wainscot and White-point, while Mottled Rustic was new for the year and a record count of 15 Bright Line Brown Eyes.

Plenty of juv Black-headed Gulls on the water at Kerton Road Pits along with two well grown Oystercatcher and Lapwing chicks. Skylark, Mipit, Whitethroat and Linnet all in song plus large flocks of Starlings on the shingle ridges.
St Mary`s Bay - A check along the foreshore revealed a scattering of Curlews, Oycs, Ringed Plovers and a single Knot.
