Pugs & Swifts

Lade - 0600hrs - Warm, dry and sunny, w3 - A decent return in the garden moth trap this morning the highlight of which were 5 species of pugs and a cracking Green Silver-lines, plus Silver Ys, White-point and Grass Emerald. Plenty of Yellow Wagtails at the south end of Lade pits and a couple of Sparrowhawks over.
Spent most of the day at the Kerton Road Cafe cutting the wild flower meadow and eating beetroot cake! More Yellow Wags overhead here, plus a party of 5 Swifts heading south.

                                          Grass Emerald

                                          Green Silver-lines

Dungeness - 1445hr -  A 45 minute seawatch delivered very little apart from a few west bound Gannets and terns, 2 Whimbrels and singles of Common Scoter and Guillemot.
ps: MH reported an Osprey low over Dengemarsh this morning.
