Dungeness - warm, dry, sunny, w 2 - 0730hrs - Today was one of those days when nothing much happened. A walk down to the Patch delivered only a handful of gulls, and nought was moving at sea. I went in search of Brown Argus around the moat and failed, although there was a nice collection of common grassland butterflies.
Swallow-tailed Moth brightened up a dull day
Lade - The garden moth trap was average with only Swallow-tailed Moth, July Highflyer and Short-cloaked Moth of any note. It was the same over the pits; average, and on the sands, average again with just six Dunlins and three Shelducks the highlight.
Dungeness - An hour at the fishing boats was the same, nothing doing, the highlight being when PB and MH turned up for a natter. They too reported, "nothing much happening". It was just, one of those days...
